Chris Clouden was named as Executive Director for the Market in March of 2015. Prior to coming to the Market, he was the Director of Events with the Charlotte Sports Foundation. He was responsible for managing events including the Dr. Pepper ACC
Football Championship and the Belk Bowl. From 2000 to 2006, Clouden served as Chief of Manhattan Recreation for the City of New York Parks and Recreation Department, where he supervised the operation of 14 recreation centers, increased revenue and membership, and implemented health and wellness initiatives across the department.
Clouden holds a B.A. of Political Science and Public Administration from Fordham University and a Master’s degree from Northeastern University. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association of Western NC and Right Moves for Youth.
